Heartwarming....
went for the punngol bbq with nas juz now,
the chalet was so ulu that me and nas would have extreme difficulty finding the place
so thnk god for seng meng and his car ha
haven seen the kids for quite a while.Hence, it was heartwarming to hear kok wei and feruz shouting our names and waving them to us when they saw us getting out of the car when we arrived...
i just can't feeling then how far we have progressed since the very first time we got to meet the kids...
Back then, the kids and us couldn't realli click much but now , we are actually like brothers already =)
of the kids we worked with , onli rizal , ah rai , haider, feruz, kok wei were at the bbq...There were also new faces, boys from other schools but who were on the same soccer team as the amazing race kids.
The kids invited nas n mi to join them at the table.While eating with them, me n nas were trying hard to break the ice but we were actually stumped for a while as the boys from the other schools were quite reluctant to open up....
The break came when they mentioned that they were going for a night walk later on in the night and haider and kok wei (thank god for them!) wanted me to tell ghost stories.So i grabbed the chance and pretty soon, the boys were grinning and slowly warming up to me and nas...
i had brought along my camera and the amazing race photos that i took were still inside....plus the videos i took of timeline staying over nite rehearsing for the ltb final presentation (those of nas talking to an imaginary audience and of chew , law and grace's tired faces....)
n when haider saw that i have those photos , he asked to borrow my camera...
n u noe wat, as i chatted with him , i saw him looking fondly at the photos OVER and OVER again , smiling away as he looked at each photo....
n he watched the videos too...chew with her "talk to the tree" chant, grace showing her swollen eyes, law's tired face....n i was telling him about nas' antics( talking to an imaginary audience) and haider was laughing away
As i share this moment(talking about the amazing race, how we stay overnite in sch for the final presentation rehearsal,feruz's popularity with the girls in the ltb class....) with haider, there was this sweet feeling growing in my heart haha
and ya, the chalet was such a lovely and relaxing retreat.as u go around chatting with the boys, you find yourself feeling so relaxed and at peace.it was a super duper nice feeling.it makes you forget about sch and all the other worries in your mind...
they wanted us to stay overnite with them , we were reluctant to leave but it was my dad's bday and i have to go back to cut the cake....somemore i haven started mugging for exams yet man ha
everytime i had these moments interacting with the kids, i always come away with this sweet, warm and gratifying feeling in my heart.....and i feel i always come away learning alot of stuff about life from the kids.
n hence to end off ,i will like to borrow gracy's fav quote:
